Key responsibilities:
- To provide 1st & 2nd line support to end-users, locally and remotely, with escalation if required
- Standard troubleshooting required to resolve incidents as reported, covering hardware and software across the network, including MFP’s, Printers, Desktops, Laptops, Peripherals and some mobile devices
- Provide end-user support on workstation and printer usage, with necessary training
- Basic networking knowledge with understanding of network cabling, installation, testing & troubleshooting
- Requests/Incidents to be logged/recorded, with detail on resolution. Knowledge database to be created and kept up to date
- Creating of user accounts, with necessary access and authorisation (Active Directory)
- Branch office site support may be required, when & if necessary (travel required) *
- Configure & setup of workstations, MFP’s and mobile devices where necessary
- PC builds, repairs, upgrades (Operating System, Microsoft Office, AV and other standard software)
- Microsoft Server 2012 R2 knowledge for minimal server access to assist with support functions (RDS, Print server, AD)
- Ensure daily & monthly backup HDD’’s are in place
- Log support requests with third party vendors (escalation) and manage/follow up
- Be available and involved in any IT-related projects that may require after hours and weekend availability
- Additional ad-hoc tasks as reasonably required
Additional (job growth) responsibilities:
- After hours standby may be required from time to time for support (non-project related) *
- Admin functions:
- Monthly reports as required
- Vendor liaison – Request quotes for new hardware, software and repairs
Qualifications and experience:
- Basic PC Engineering (A+ & N+ or similar) (MCSE & and ITIL background will be advantageous)
- Minimum of 2 years’ desktop support experience, preferably in a corporate environment
- Exposure to MS Server environment
- Familiar with Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, Office 2013, Office 2016, Office 365
- Must have own reliable transport with a valid driver’s license for remote sites support within a 30km radius *
