Recipes LEMON THYME ROASTED HASSLE-BACK POTATOES
LEMON THYME ROASTED HASSLE-BACK POTATOES
You can never go wrong with a good roasted potato. Nice and crispy on the outside and fluffy in the centre.
Nothing says ‘The Holidays’ like sweet and smoky flavors to accommodate the warm South African weather. Let’s make this the most wonderful or rather the most delicious time of the year.
- WHAT YOU WILL NEED -
- 12 medium potatoes
- olive oil
- 2 Tbsp Cape Herb & Spice TALL SWEET & SMOKY BBQ GRINDER
- 2 Tbsp whole garlic cloves
- 2 lemons, sliced
- 2 Tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
- METHOD -
Start off by preheating the oven to 200 ˚C. Then score each potato to make deep lines but don’t slice all the way through.
Next, place the potatoes into a baking pan and drizzle with oil and season with Cape Herb & Spice's Sweet & Smoky BBQ Seasoning.
Sprinkle on the garlic cloves and thyme.
Then slice the lemon thinly and add into the baking tray.
Lastly, bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes until golden brown on the outside and soft on the inside.
